In 2010, young gay and bisexual men (aged 13-24 years) accounted for 72% of new HIV infections among all persons aged 13 to 24, and 30% of new infections among all gay and bisexual men.” ~ The CDC
According to the results of a new survey released by the Kaiser Family Foundation, only 25% of gay men admitted that they always use a condom when having sex; 38% said they rarely or never use condoms. Despite this warning from the CDC: “Most gay and bisexual men acquire HIV through anal sex, which is the riskiest type of sex for getting or transmitting HIV,” homosexual men continue to put themselves at risk. For, there is restlessness (always passing into desperation) that pervades all of gay society. It exists from childhood; a longing for the masculine that is forever attached to the lonely and alienated crying boy inside. As a solution, the devil has offered up sodomy – yet, it’s only lasting reward is death. Our Lord Jesus Christ is the only remedy: “They that are well have no need of a physician, but they that are sick…I came not to call the just, but sinners.”

Recently there has been a lot of lobbying activity to further popularize the use of PrEP, the “HIV prevention” medication. The idea being that if all healthy gays preventively take PrEP, they can continue their promiscuous routine of sex without condoms. Obviously, it is a complete deception, because not only does science no nothing about the long term effects of PrEP, but it ignores the fact that PrEP will not prevent promiscuous gays (and straights) from catching other potentially lethal STDs. If anything, the widespread use of PrEP will lead to an increased spread of STDs, because people will be more recklessly seek sex with strangers, lulled in by the false security of PrEP.
The only real solution to bring the HIV crisis to a halt is, as you point time and time again, to seek true healing, through becoming closer to Our Lord.
