You are a beacon for those of us like you who are out there and know the truth but journey alone. Thank you for choosing to shine that torch for Christ. Thank you for choosing to shine that torch for me. I thank God for you and seeing the depth of sacrifice and suffering you endure particularly by giving on to others with these pages for which you are exposed and open to ridicule and more suffering only reminds me of a saint. God bless you for putting the message out there and being vulnerable about your own life. Your story is the strong message that many need to hear. It is unpopular to speak out, but we as Christians need to.
I am sorry for the ways I have failed some of the gay men in my life, as I had no idea about their struggle in our younger days and I was so naive I did not understand their identity issues. Now in the middle age, these guys are ‘living the dream’ but they are not happy – their eyes show emptiness and pain, despite all the financial and academic successes.
Praying to be there for them now as an intercessor, even when speaking dircetly is not always possible.
