There is more to Haring's art than meets the eye. I interpret his restless production of art almost a bit as a quest for something that real life (e.g drugs, homosexuality) was not really able to offer him. Interestingly, his last major work was for a church in Italy. He died so awfully young; truly sad and tragic. May his soul find the peace that it didn't have on earth.
