At St. Francis de Sales Parish in New York City, on June 26, 2015, the LGBTQS Gay Straight Catholic Alliance posted this statement after the announcement of the SCOTUS decision legalizing same-sex marriage: “How PHENOMENAL! A day filled with love to more days filled with love.” Later that same year, their 2015 Christmas Facebook post featured a kissing male couple. The contact person at St. Francis de Sales for their LGBTQS Gay Straight Catholic Alliance is actor and drag performer Jay Malsky. On August 6, 2017, Malsky posted a crude drawing of an erect penis to his Facebook timeline and included this message:
This is my boyfriend’s fat di*k. Ever since I was in middle school, kids teased me about loving fat di*k but I’m like whatever what I do with these fat di*ks is my biz not yours. #bodypositive #sexpositive

At The Church of the Blessed Sacrament, also in New York City, Pastor John Duffell has a history of being outspoken on LGBT issues. In 2011, Duffel participated in “More Than a Monologue” conference series on “Sexual Diversity and the Catholic Church” at Fordham University. When asked by a young “gay” man if he should be cautious or fearful about entering a seminary as an openly “gay” man, Duffel responded: “You’re not broken. The system is broken. And therefore you deal with it as a broken system: You lie.” The Church of the Blessed Sacrament is also home to regular “Gay Fellowship” meetings; the contact person is John Gasdaska.
On June 17, 2017, The Church of The Blessed Sacrament hosted in its Parish Hall: “A dance party” benefiting Lady Gaga’s pro-gay Born This Way Foundation.
At St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, also in New York City, the contact person for their “Gay and Lesbian Ministry” is Meredith Augustin. On June 26, 2015, Augustin reposted to Facebook a rainbow colored graphic (Love is Love) from the St. Francis Gay Ministry which included the message: “yay…this day is ever so amazing.” Following the 2015 “Pre-Pride” Mass, Augustin thanked several individuals via Facebook, including “gay” Catholic Arthur Fitzmaurice; she also attached to this post the pro-gay marriage hashtag #lovewins. Fitzmaurice, a frequent speaker at the LA Congress, has repeatedly asked for revisions concerning the Church’s teaching on homosexuality, describing certain language contained in the Catechism as “gravely evil.”
On January 10, 2016, Augustin posted to Facebook an invitation to a cocktail party fundraiser benefiting Planned Parenthood. She wrote: “I adore this place. You will, too. They help rock my life”
On February 28, 2017, the St. Francis of Assisi “Gay Ministry” hosted a Mardi Gras party at the “Rise” gay bar; then, on May 5, 2017, they hosted a Cinco de Mayo Celebration at the notorious gay bar Therapy NYC in Hell’s Kitchen.
Author’s note: Every Catholic must respect and welcome all those who approach the Church for guidance and help. Right now, men and women with same-sex attraction are not being well-served by the Catholic Church. No judgment or indignation should be directed towards them; instead, the Bishops and priests who have fostered this environment, or allowed it to continue, have much to answer for.

Hi, Joseph, This is all so dispiriting and confusing.
I joined the Church in 2014 after a few years of study. I was a protestant for most of my life. I was baptized in a charismatic church at the age of 16. The Catholic apologist heavy weights had a huge influence on my conversion. In truth, when it comes to some of the protestant doctrines, they can’t hold a candle to what the Catholic Church teaches about those doctrines, and the protestants’ reasons backing those doctrines are handily dismantled by Catholic arguments.
BUT…I can’t ignore what’s happening in the Church. These rogue – maybe even demonically inspired – priests, bishops and cardinals are becoming a real stumbling block to many people, including me. It’s really quite disturbing. Some say the Church has not and will not change her teaching on all these subjects – sexuality, marriage, etc. But apparently to many of these ‘spiritual leaders’ , it doesn’t matter – and it certainly doesn’t matter to a majority of Catholics, if the polls are indicative of anything!
I go to a pretty faithful, traditionally-minded parish. But I wonder at times if I made the right decision. Maybe I shouldn’t even question my decision. But maybe those faithful and zealous protestants are closer to their faithful Catholic brethren more than they or we think. Whatever happens, Jesus is still Lord of the universe, whether or not I’m catholic or protestant. Jesus is still resurrected from the dead. The Nicene Creed is still the best summary of the faith. So i don’t know what the future holds, but as long as we’re faithful to Jesus – in spite of what some evil leaders may say or do. God will hold them accountable in the end.
You stay Catholic. You made the right decision. Blessed Mary of Agreda (17th century) “It was revealed to me that through the intercession of the Mother of God all heresies will disappear. The victory over heresies has been reserved by Christ for His Blessed Mother. In the latter days, the Lord will in a special manner spread the renown of His Mother. Mary began salvation, and by her intercession it will be completed. Before the second coming of Christ, Mary, more than ever, must shine in mercy, might, and grace in order to bring unbelievers unto the Catholic faith. The power of Mary in the latter days will be very conspicuous. Mary will extend the reign of Christ over the heathens and the Mohammedans, and it will be a time of great joy when Mary is enthroned as Mistress and Queen of Hearts.”
Your not obligated to believe this private revelation but I do believe that the Lord works through His people. So the odds are in favor of the Lord when it comes to giving His Mother special privileges to bring the children back to Her Son. So you stay in the faith not matter what. Keep your eyes on Christ and His Mother. The Bride is full of sinners by the Bridegroom is not sinful in anyway. He is without blemish. God Bless brother and Love in Christ H.
That’s just insane and so very tragic. Satan is pleased by all this even more when it infiltrates the church. The drag environment is a terrible world of bondage and fake celebrity. About 10 years ago I dabbled in it for about a year and deeply regret it now. I am baffled that it has now today morphed into such a culturally acceptable form of entertainment, as if drag queens are morally neutral clowns with cartoonist child like qualities? Drag often sneaks its way under the radar of the other wise conservative, heterosexual crowd as comical, slapstick and innocently outrageous; seen as harmless.
I found the drag world to be a vile desparate world of filthy language, street drugs, desparate female impersonations and most times embarrasing lipsincing. Often straight male/female couples go to drag clubs for entertainment or for a girls night out and all the while viewing the spectacle with this view “as long as those guys in drag stay in their place and
entertain us its all is allright!”
I can’t believe it when I find out that female impersonators/ drag culture is being accepted and condoned in the Holy church. Christians, the church, heterosexuals that encourage this don’t see they are enabling souls to live and die in their sins! The road to hell is paved with good intentions!
Pray they come back to their senses, these blind foolish men of the clothe. Women of the clothe to. Amen.
Pure demonic evil.
